Frances (Fagel) Levine Glazer passed away on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at the age of 100. She was born January 19, 1917, in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of Mike and Sonia Levine and the last surviving child of six children. She graduated from Forrest Avenue High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. Frances and her husband, Nolan Glazer, were married August 1st, 1937. They were married for 54 years when Nolan passed away in 1991 at the age of 77. Frances (Fagel) Levine Glazer passed away on Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at the age of 100. She was born January 19, 1917, in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of Mike and Sonia Levine and the last surviving child of six children. She graduated from Forrest Avenue High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. Frances and her husband, Nolan Glazer, were married August 1st, 1937. They were married for 54 years when Nolan passed away in 1991 at the age of 77. Family brought meaning and fulfillment throughout her beautiful life. Her home was always the gathering place for family events and celebrations. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Frances and Nolan loved to travel and one of their favorite destinations was Coronado Beach, San Diego, for their annual family vacation. Frances was very active in the community and was a member of many civic organizations. She was always full of joy & love, and she will never be forgotten by those who knew her.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Nolan Glazer, and her sons, Robert L. Glazer and Stephen (Stevie) Glazer. Frances is survived by her son, Bennett Glazer & his wife Marion, daughter, Betty Glazer Silverman & her husband Steve, and her daughter in law, Phyllis Glazer, wife of R.L. Frances'; grandchildren include David (Debbie), Steven (Denise) & Max Glazer, Sam & Paige Glazer, Casey Silverman Weiss (Noah) & Cody Silverman, as well as seven great grandchildren; Benjamin, Jonathan & Allison Glazer, Harley & Leya Glazer and Nolan (Nash) & Bowen (Bowie) Weiss. The family wants to extend a very special thank you to Frances' beloved caregivers, Linda Bickhamand and Azzie Jordan.
A Memorial Service will be held under the direction of Rabbi David Stern on
Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 3:00 pm in the Olan Sanctuary at Temple Emanu-EI, 8500 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, TX 75225. A reception will follow in Linz Hall. There will be a minyan service at 5:30 pm following the reception, in Tycher Gathering Space. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances' Memory to Temple Emanu-EI.
