Howard W. DeMoore, 88, of Dallas, TX, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at his home. He was born on October 20, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Peter and Vera (Moffett) DeMoore.

Mr. DeMoore made an immense contribution to Litho Printing process during his lifetime. He began his passion for printing as a press helper in 1950. Howard W. DeMoore, 88, of Dallas, TX, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at his home. He was born on October 20, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Peter and Vera (Moffett) DeMoore.

Mr. DeMoore made an immense contribution to Litho Printing process during his lifetime. He began his passion for printing as a press helper in 1950. In 1968, as a veteran pressman, Mr. DeMoore started to develop solutions for "marking" problems traditionally associated with offset sheet-fed presses. He formed Printing Research, Inc in 1983 to produce and market his Super Blue Mark-Less Printing Systems. Always looking for ways to improve the printing process, Mr. DeMoore created multiple generations of anti-marking products, as well as numerous other innovations. He became the primary inventor on more than 186 patents worldwide.

He is survived by two children, Cathy (Mario) Zuniga of Kennesaw, GA, and Peter (Lorrie) DeMoore of Dahlonega, GA; and three grandchildren, Alana Whitaker, Jennifer Zuniga, and Paige DeMoore.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, Northwest Highway Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, TX.
